Why I created the Listening Path?

I created The Listening Path because I saw gaps and fallacies within the current mental health system. Despite its efforts, the system often fails to support individuals in the way they need, especially when it comes to culturally sensitive approaches. As someone with 20+ years of experience in Sikh music and Naad Yoga, I’ve witnessed how ancient practices of tuning oneself through sound can profoundly impact emotional well-being—yet these approaches are not recognized or accepted within conventional frameworks, such as music therapy.

This lack of understanding and acceptance inspired me to create an alternative, holistic platform that addresses the very human struggle of understanding and expressing emotions. The Listening Path is not therapy or counseling, nor does it claim to heal or fix problems. Instead, it offers an ancient approach to empowering individuals to better understand and navigate their emotions.

Through Naad Yoga and the Sikh philosophy, I provide a space for emotional and mental fitness—much like a gym for the emotional body. I teach the skill sets needed to tune into your emotions and, if desired, express them through sound. This is a proactive, supportive, and deeply human alternative to traditional mental health services, designed for those willing to see and experience emotions through a new lens.
